Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years as rigger with 2+ years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervises crews erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey equipment.
• Specifies locations for movement of derricks, hoists and cranes.
• Directs workers in splicing ropes and metal cables for hoisting slings.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders for supervision area.
• Maintains time records and enforces safety regulations.
• Coordinates movement of equipment and materials per signals and directions.
• Detects dangerous conditions and initiates corrective action.
• Performs safety inspections to ensure regulatory and SIC standards.
