Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager II for Advanced RF Systems to own the technical roadmap from concept through qualification to high-rate production.

This high-ownership role requires 8+ years in aerospace program management, proven delivery of flight-ready hardware, and collaboration with Chief Engineers and national-security customers. Base pay and stock are part of the compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, math, science, or technical field.
• 8+ years aerospace program management experience.
• Proven end-to-end ownership of a technical program.
• Experience moving hardware/software from prototype to flight-ready.
• Understanding of transponders, SAR, or advanced communication systems.
• Ability to identify technical, schedule, or supply-chain risk and neutralize it.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF payload programs from concept through qualification and production.
• Coordinate architecture with Chief Engineers on phased arrays and DSP.
• Foster a high-velocity culture and develop next-gen leaders.
• Manage high-stakes subcontracts and suppliers as strategic partners.
• Synchronize cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and spectrum management.
• Serve as primary contact for NSS, civil, and commercial customers; assist BD.
