Job summary

Dollar General in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, customer-first store and assist customers with purchases. You will operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Lead Sales Associates act as a Sales Associate with a lead capacity in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth daily operations and customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and basic math calculations.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases and provide change.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash and sanitation; maintain restroom and stockroom.
• Assist in opening and closing the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
