Coast Guard Exchange in Mobile, AL is seeking a Part-Time Sales Clerk Leader (Retail Associate) to deliver friendly customer service, assist with merchandise selection, and maintain store operations. This role offers 20-29 hours per week at $16.50/hour, supporting military families with the best shopping experience.

Responsibilities include inventory control, cash handling, opening/closing duties, and adherence to loss prevention policies while training and guiding the store team daily.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory.
• Previous retail supervisory experience in the performance of the above-mentioned duties.
• Current USCG NAF sales clerk with at least 6 months experience as a USCG NAF sales clerk.

Responsabilités

• Welcome customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Maintain product knowledge and respond quickly to customer concerns.
• Oversee store operations, including pricing, markdowns, promotions and signage.
• May assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving and stock levels.
• Operate cash register, handle payments, balance cash and prepare reports.
