Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a lead cashier/stocker to support store operations in Cando, ND. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will act in a leadership role and ensure smooth daily operations, accurate cash handling, and excellent customer service.

You will unload deliveries, stock and rotate merchandise, maintain displays, and help maintain a safe, clean retail environment while following company procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves; rotate merchandise.
• Operate cash register and process payments; provide bagging.
• Assist in plan-o-grams and displays; maintain a clean store.
• Greet customers; locate merchandise and answer questions.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction; ensure security.
