Lightspeed Restoration of Middletown Lead Technician
We're a locally owned and operated restoration company serving Middletown and the surrounding Monmouth County area. As one of our first hires, you won't just be running a crew, you'll be helping set the standard for how we operate as we grow. You'll work directly with the owner, not layers of corporate management.

Job Summary
The Lead Technician is a hands-on role. You're out on the job performing 24/7 emergency water damage recovery, mold remediation, fire restoration, and indoor air quality services in homes and buildings across Middletown and Monmouth County. On top of the hands-on work, you're overseeing and managing the crew, controlling job costs, production times, and quality assurance, acting as the primary point of contact for our customers, and responsible for a company vehicle and all equipment for both commercial and residential divisions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on restoration work as a core, daily part of the role: mold remediation, water damage cleanup, installation of preventative moisture control solutions, and HVAC and dryer vent cleaning per written scope of work
- Run new jobs start to finish independently: assess the site, complete all documentation, communicate findings and updates back to ownership, and see the job through to completion
- Manage the crew's production quality, job costs, and timelines, and provide strong leadership to ensure successful, safe, timely, and profitable project delivery and completion
- Manage documentation on projects (i.e. photos, contracts, etc.)
- Respond to emergency recovery situations when needed, 24/7
- Work safely in a team environment
- Ensure all safety measures are enforced on the job site
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in home services, construction, or restoration preferred; will consider 1-2 years with demonstrated crew leadership or project management
- Must be able to run a job independently, start to finish, with no hand-holding
- Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices required
- Self-motivated and growth-oriented
- Able to lead and work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate PC and mobile devices
- Exhibit a professional, neat appearance
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (MVR check required)
