Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year AMA-approved program in respiratory therapy required.
• Must be registered (RRT) and hold current Alabama respiratory license.
• ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training new employees and mentor certified respiratory therapists.
• Precept students.
• Perform complex life-support ventilation procedures.
• Maintain ABG lab to Joint Commission standards and CLIA requirements.
• Perform prescribed critical care procedures and document actions.
• Help keep productivity above targets year-to-date.
• Gather and clean equipment after patient use and return to storage.
• Demonstrate teamwork and promote patient safety and quality.
