Job summary

Authority Brands seeks a Plumber to diagnose, service, and install plumbing in homes and light commercial settings. You will read blueprints, follow codes, and perform installations, repairs, and testing of pipes, fixtures, and appliances.

You may handle pricing, vehicle maintenance, and lead generation while upholding safety standards. The role requires at least 5 years of residential plumbing experience, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to interpret drawings; a clean driving record

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience in residential service/maintenance.
• Knowledge of local and national plumbing codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Basic change order cost estimating experience.
• Computer proficiency: Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and light commercial service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
• Identify potential problems to prevent callbacks.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems carrying water, waste, and fuel in heating.
• Inspect water and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions.
• Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints, and pipe systems.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for layout requirements.
• Review blueprints, building codes or specs to determine work details.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream and install pipe and fittings.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances or fixtures using hand or power tools.
• Maintain clean, stocked service vehicle; participate in inventory/truck inspections.
• Provide pricing to customer for approval prior to work.
• Maximize lead opportunities per company plan.
