Christy Sports in Breckenridge, CO is seeking a Lead Rental Technician to help guests gear up and feel confident before their slope day. You’ll share equipment expertise, mentor newer technicians, and keep service moving during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience fitting ski or snowboard rental equipment.
• Friendly and patient with guests of varying experience.
• Supportive team player; can stay focused when busy.
• Enjoy skiing/snowboarding and helping others get out on the mountain.
• Good judgment to solve problems; know when to involve a manager.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, split shifts.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for transactions and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and create a friendly shop experience.
• Fit boots, skis, snowboards, and poles for guests.
• Pass binding certification tests and follow safety procedures.
• Answer questions, demonstrate fitting techniques, train new team members.
• Coordinate rental workflow during shifts for timely service.
• Share gear knowledge to guide guests to the right equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and involve a manager when needed.
• Keep rental gear and workspace organized and ready.
• Communicate equipment needs and recurring issues to store leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
