Job summary

Huntington Valley Healthcare Center in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty and ensure the highest quality care in line with federal, state, and local standards.

As an RN, you will oversee administrative, committee, and care-plan functions, mentor nursing staff, participate in quality assurance, and coordinate discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required and active RN license in the state.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty.
• Ensure supervision complies with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Assist in directing nursing services and coordinating with other resident services.
• Develop and maintain policies/procedures for the nursing service department.
• Participate in quality assurance and facility surveys as required.
• Oversee staffing, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordination with residents/families.
