Job description

The Lead Registered Dietician develops, implements, and promotes quality, evidence‑based nutrition care for patients in the acute care setting and in the outpatient setting as assigned. Supports organization, facility, and department initiatives and team goals to maintain quality of care for in‑patients and out‑patients. Supports the Clinical Nutrition Manager in meeting the Clinical Team goal of providing evidence‑based nutrition care. Supports community events to promote health and improve the nutrition status of the communities served by Hackensack Meridian Health.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Performs work with minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field.
• Research, planning and interpersonal skills.
• Detail and customer/client oriented.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
