Job summary

Aureos is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate bid estimates for rail civils projects, lead tender submissions, and develop robust pricing for frameworks with Network Rail and Tier 1 subcontractors. The role includes mentoring estimators, analysing quotations, and supporting bid strategy across multiple tenders.

The successful candidate will work with the bid team, coordinate with planners, and travel to site visits as required, ensuring accurate cost forecasts and profitable tender outcomes.

Qualifications

• Engineering or commercial background.
• Experience in Civils, Rail, Highways, Energy and Utilities; rail experience preferred.
• Proven tendering and cost estimation experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates and tender submissions for large bids.
• Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations and costs.
• Present basis of estimate at adjudication and maintain records.
• Handover estimates to site teams after contract award.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineer where possible.
