Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to supervise the Radiology Department and coordinate daily workflows. You will work with CT, MRI, Mammography, and other modalities to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

The role requires ARRT radiology certification, CMRT certification, and BCLS, with 2 years of general radiology experience and a preference for hospital experience. This is a full-time on-site position in Arlington, TX.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in general radiology required
• 1 year hospital experience preferred
• Licenses and certifications listed below must be current at hire

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities
• Collaborates with technical staff to organize and direct department workflow
• Evaluate skills and schedule staff, including call and holidays
• Monitor accreditation, safety, infection control, and equipment performance
• Review imaging with staff and suggest improvements
• Ensure patient documentation and protocol adherence
• Operate, care for and maintain radiology equipment
• Support ongoing staff development and technology advancement
• Perform assignments as directed by supervisor

Graduate of radiologic technology program

Associate's Degree preferred

Education

• Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required
• Associate's Degree preferred

Experience

• 2 years’ experience in general radiology required
• 1 year hospital experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology upon hire required
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (either by the TDH or TMB) upon hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

• Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities
• Collaborates with the technical staff in organizing and directing department work flow.
• Evaluates technical skills, and schedules staff appropriately to include call and holidays. Provides adequate staff coverage including vacation schedules, absenteeism and turnover.
• Monitors compliance for accreditation and regulatory agencies and hospital and department standards for safety, infection control, department aesthetics and equipment performance.
• Monitors staff use of technique charts or protocols, patient documentation, reviewing films with technologists, and advising staff on improvements.
• Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions
• Assesses and recognizes the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
• Adjusts technical factors to produce quality imaging
• Operates, cares for and maintains equipment
• Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
• Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor
