Job summary

HonorHealth Thompson Peak Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Imaging department (RAD General) on day shift. Under a radiologist's direction you will perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications include ARRT licensure, HS diploma or GED with ARRT accreditation, and 10+ months radiology experience. A $15k sign-on bonus is available and duties include equipment maintenance, quality control, and coverage at network

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED with ARRT accreditation required.
• Other radiography program or US military radiography training required.
• Successful completion of radiologic training.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
• Performs Radiology procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administers contrast materials as required and initiates emergency response to contrast reactions if needed.
• Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors and annotation as required by procedure protocols.
• Utilizes RIS, PACS and other image management systems as needed.
• Coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities and maintains equipment in efficient operating order.
• Performs and documents quality control testing and arranges for service/maintenance as directed.
• Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
• Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff.
• Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment and stock and inventory as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's Degree - Preferred

High School Diploma or GED completion of an ARRT accredited - Required

Other Radiography program or US military Radiography training - Required
