Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to lead technical execution of complex research and development programs from concept to transition. The role combines engineering excellence with project management to balance scope, schedule, cost, and risk while delivering technical objectives.

The ideal candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, interact with customers and stakeholders, and drive risk mitigation and design reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development, technology roadmaps, customer interactions, and strategic planning activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

The R&D Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and coordination of complex research and development (R&D) programs, serving as the technical lead for assigned projects or work packages. This role combines strong engineering expertise with project management capabilities to ensure successful delivery of technical objectives while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and risk. The R&D Engineer works closely with Program Managers, engineering teams, customers, and global stakeholders to mature advanced technologies from concept through demonstration and transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of assigned R&D projects and work packages from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

The annual base salary range for this position in Torrance is $163,000-204,000. The annual base salary for this position in Phoenix is $142,000-175,000 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
