Job description

Build the platform others will build on.

This isn't one of them.

We're looking for an exceptional Lead Quantitative Platform Engineer to architect and build the quantitative technology platform that will sit at the heart of a next-generation multi-asset brokerage.

This is a true greenfield opportunity. From day one, you'll define the architecture, engineering standards and technical foundations that power market data, quantitative research, real-time analytics, pricing, trading and risk management as the platform scales globally.

If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, designing systems from first principles and building technology that enables world-class trading teams, we'd like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of the firm's quantitative platform from the ground up, designing the infrastructure that enables researchers, engineers and traders to move seamlessly from data to insight and from research to production.

Working alongside senior leadership, you'll make key architectural decisions that shape the long-term technology strategy while helping build a modern, scalable engineering culture.

This is an opportunity to create a platform—not inherit one.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and own the architecture for a large-scale quantitative technology platform.
  • Build high-performance data infrastructure supporting historical and real-time market data.
  • Develop scalable streaming data pipelines and event-driven systems.
  • Architect real-time analytics capabilities used across research, trading and risk.
  • Create robust frameworks for data quality, validation and governance.
  • Build reusable APIs, libraries and shared services for quantitative teams.
  • Define engineering standards, CI/CD practices, testing frameworks and deployment processes.
  • Partner closely with quantitative researchers, traders and product leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technology.
  • Help shape the long-term evolution of the firm's quantitative and trading technology stack.
What We're Looking For
  • Outstanding software engineering experience building production-grade distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale data architecture and real-time data processing.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, streaming technologies and modern analytical databases.
  • Excellent SQL and data engineering capabilities.
  • Exposure to C++, Java, Rust or other high-performance languages.
  • Passion for building platforms rather than simply contributing to them.
  • Experience within quantitative trading, electronic markets or financial technology is advantageous but not essential.
Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to become one of the founding technical leaders within an ambitious business.

You'll influence architectural decisions from the outset, help shape future engineering hires, and build technology that forms the foundation of the firm's quantitative capabilities for years to come.

Exceptional engineers rarely get the chance to build something from a blank sheet.

This is one of those opportunities.
