Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Engineering seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to own design quality, construction coordination, and project governance for new data center infrastructure. You will drive scalable processes, cross-region collaboration, and data-driven improvements.

You'll mentor junior QAEs, manage design review SLAs, and report risk and performance to leadership, while supporting opportunities to standardize workflows across Smartsheet, Salesforce, Procore, and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning courses.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA reviews for multidisciplinary engineering design deliverables across all project phases.
• Review drawings, narratives, specifications, and docs for completeness and AWS standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional review workflows between Leads, Managers, consultants, and partners.
• Coordinate lifecycle activities including provisioning, folder governance, access management, milestone tracking, and document control.
• Monitor design review SLAs, milestone approvals, escalation trends, and risk.
• Support Construction Administration activities including RFI coordination and submittal reviews.
• Serve as SME for Design Engineering workflows, governance, and dashboards across regions.
• Drive standardization and automation across Smartsheet, Salesforce, Procore and related tools.
• Mentor junior QAEs and promote engineering quality and customer focus.
• Communicate with senior leadership through risk summaries and executive documentation.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.
