Job summary

Verify, Inc. in Evendale, OH is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to own the First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR) program. You will dig into inspection data, drawings, and CMM records to produce clean, defensible FAIR packages that withstand audit.

This hands-on role requires leading a small team, coordinating with onsite customer and Verify leadership, and delivering technically sound results with minimal meetings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pull legacy inspection data and PolyWorks/CMM records, validate them against master specs, and rebuild FAIR packages that will hold up to audit.
• Own onsite FAI data population from data pull through final inspection sign-off.
• Identify gaps in historical documentation and drive them to resolution — not just flag them.
• Be the onsite technical point of contact for the customer and the Verify team.
• Lead a small team through standardized FAI execution, peer review, and sign-off — mentoring as you go.
• Report progress, risks, and resourcing needs in a weekly cadence with Verify and customer leadership.

A major aerospace/defense manufacturer in Evendale, OH, is strengthening its First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR) program and is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who thrives on hands‑on technical problem-solving - someone who can dig into inspection data, drawings, and CMM records, and produce clean, defensible FAIR packages that hold up to scrutiny.

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to manage meetings. It's for a hungry, technically sharp QE who wants to own the work, lead a small team through it, and take pride in getting the details right.

What You Must Bring

• Deep, hands‑on understanding of FAIR / AS9102 process flows — you can read a legacy package and immediately spot what's missing, wrong, or non‑compliant.
• Solid working proficiency in PolyWorks for dimensional inspection and data analysis — this is used daily and is not something we can train from scratch.
• Real CMM inspection experience — programming, data interpretation, and correlating CMM output back to drawing requirements and GD&T.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T without hand‑holding.
• 5+ years in aerospace quality engineering / inspection, including AS9102 / First Article Inspection.
• Comfort leading a small team and coordinating with onsite customer and Verify leadership — but the bulk of the job is doing the technical work, not sitting in status meetings.

Requirements

• Ability to commute to Evendale, OH 45215 — this is an in‑person role.
• 5 years aerospace leadership experience.
• 5 years aerospace inspection experience.
• 5 years as a Quality Engineer.
• 5 years AS9102 / First Article Inspection experience.
