Job summary

Longenecker & Associates, a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Quality Control Lead Specialist to support Centrus Energy operations in Oak Ridge, TN. The role centers on dimensional inspection, CMM programming, and GD&T compliance within a DOE project framework.

The ideal candidate has five+ years in inspection, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience reading drawings/CAD models, with excellent communication and documentation skills. Onsite work and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
• Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Minimum five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/CAD models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs, manual tools, and visual inspection techniques.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work with engineering to define quality requirements.
• Create quality control plans for complex components.
• Develop and run CMM programs to support accurate measurements.
• Provide in-process inspections and guidance to shop-floor teams.
• Review measurement results and produce inspection reports.
• Coordinate with customers to review findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and upload documents to systems.
