Module X Solutions is seeking a Lead Quality Control Inspector to supervise QC personnel and meet daily production support needs. The role oversees inspection processes, trains inspectors, and ensures coverage across production areas.

It requires 2+ years in QA/QC, a high school diploma, and strong attention to detail. The position entails coordinating schedules, audits, and safety activities on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality assurance and quality control on projects.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Level II Weld Inspection certifications for MT and VT desired.
• Knowledge of manufacturing inspection processes.
• Effective communication, written and verbal.
• Self-motivated with or without supervision.
• Good organizational skills and methodical work.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail oriented; read/interprets drawings, BOMs, shop details.
• Good attendance record; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Ability to work safely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all inspection processes.
• Train QC inspectors on tasks and test instruments.
• Facilitate safety meetings for the inspection team.
• Manage inspector time-off and coverage with QC Manager approval.
• Fill in on shop floor for inspections when needed.
• Escort outside inspectors visiting the facility.

• Schedule QC inspectors daily to support production/shipping.
• Coach inspectors to perform duties effectively.

MODULE X SOLUTIONS is a rapidly growing modular manufacturing business that serves corporate and government customers in renewable energy, network infrastructure, battery storage, telecommunications, petrochemical, utility, transportation, and other verticals.

Job Summary

The Lead Quality Control Inspector is responsible for providing supervisory functions for the QC personnel to meet the daily support requirements for products in production.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all inspection processes.
• Train QC inspectors on daily tasks and use of test instruments.
• Facilitate safety meetings for the inspection team.
• With approval of the Quality Manager, manage inspector time‑off requests and ensure coverage of all production areas.
• Fill in on the shop floor for inspections and act as a substitute when an inspector calls in.
• Escort outside inspectors that may visit the facility.
• Perform audits of QC inspector checklists for completeness and accuracy.
• Schedule quality control inspectors daily to support production and shipping schedules.
• Coach QC inspectors to perform duties to the best of their ability.

Qualifications

Work Experience: 2+ years of quality assurance and quality control on projects.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Related Experience

• General mathematical skills.
• Level II Weld Inspection certifications for MT and VT desired.
• Knowledge and experience with manufacturing inspection processes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self‑motivated and works well with or without supervision.
• Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail oriented, able to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, options, shop details, etc.
• Must have a good attendance record and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work safely.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. Typical shop‑floor noise levels apply, and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
