Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to lead their QA initiatives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role is focused on implementing automated testing and establishing QA processes to enhance quality assurance practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including expertise with the Playwright testing suite.

This is a full-time position, requiring on-site attendance five days a week.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to lead our QA initiatives and team members. This position is responsible for building out our QA processes with a particular focus on implementing automated testing. This is a unique opportunity to shape quality assurance and the testing processes of our team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices from the ground up
• Design and build-out the testing infrastructure and framework
• Create comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business objectives
• Implement automated test suites and continuous integration pipelines
• Define quality metrics and establish reporting processes
• Document QA processes and procedures
• Train and mentor future QA team members
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate quality practices into the development lifecycle
• Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Proven experience with Playwright testing suite
• Track record of establishing QA processes and best practices
• Experience building testing frameworks and infrastructure from scratch
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Python preferred)
• On-site 5 days a week in Fort Wayne, IN

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Ascential Test
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation
• Expertise in testing methodologies (TDD, BDD)
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
• API testing experience
• Performance testing knowledge and experience
