Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a hands-on QC Laboratory Lead to direct a 24/7 analytical operations team in a specialty chemical manufacturing setting.

You will oversee laboratory operations, testing, quality systems, and continuous improvement while partnering with Production to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. The role requires a BS/MS in Chemistry with 5+ years in analytical/QC, 3+ years leading teams, and hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, LIMS and

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry with 5+ years analytical/quality control lab experience in chemical/pharma/food process environments.
• Minimum 3+ years of proven laboratory leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and testing methods.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with LIMS, JD Edwards (Oracle) or similar ERP/lab systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and develop a QC Laboratory team and oversee daily operations.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing by prioritizing workflow and ensuring timely results.
• Perform and interpret testing using HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and other methods.
• Oversee organic analytical and wet chemistry testing for materials and products.
• Review data, authorize release, and maintain data integrity in ERP/LIMS.
• Lead root-cause investigations, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, methods, specifications, and ISO/QMS compliance.
• Manage resources, instrumentation, training, and performance to support production goals.
