Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a senior transportation planner to lead the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality transportation plans and related planning studies, often juggling multiple projects with diverse teams.

You will manage project schedules and budgets, plan workshops, and pursue new business with state and local clients while identifying industry trends to position the firm for long-term growth. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, public policy, public administration, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in transit planning, public transportation program administration, long range transportation planning, or related technical roles.
• Experience working with FTA‑funded transit programs and state or regional transit agencies.
