Job summary

SOL Mental Health in Virginia is seeking a Board-certified General Psychiatrist to lead medical direction across patient care teams. This role involves structured care reviews, treatment planning, and collaboration with PCPs.

You will oversee Medicare patients, provide evidence-based care, supervise clinicians, and participate in an integrated care model with strong clinical community and admin support.

Qualifications

• MD with an active, unrestricted medical license in DC/MD/VA.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, especially with Medicare patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide Structured Care Review to primary treating clinician (average of 32 hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour) for Medicare patients.
• Recommend treatment adjustments, including medications and lab/imaging orders, or advised clinical protocols with the primary care provider.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Work with adults, young adults, and/or children.
• Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation.
