Job summary

Humanoid, based in Massachusetts, seeks a Lead Prototype Engineer to guide a team of prototype engineers and technicians. You will remain hands-on, setting electrical standards across bring-up, diagnostics, and lifecycle management of humanoid robot platforms.

You will lead failure analysis, collaborate across disciplines, and define test procedures to improve reliability and manufacturability in a high-velocity startup setting.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on electrical engineering background in rapid prototyping and debugging.
• Experience leading engineers or technicians, balancing people management with hands-on work.
• Proven ability to read schematics and PCB layouts and design or specify harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of prototype engineers and technicians; set priorities and standards.
• Stay hands-on; drive troubleshooting of complex electrical issues in prototype robots and perform failure analysis.
• Own electrical bring-up of new prototype builds including power distribution and actuator electronics.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software teams on prototype design and test.
• Define and enforce test procedures, repair runbooks, and lab processes.
• Design and iterate on cable assemblies and test jigs for repeated use.
