Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, Illinois, invites an experienced radiation physicist to lead its proton therapy program within a world-class cancer center.

Proton therapy experience is preferred; training is available for the right candidate. The team includes Varian ProBeam and advanced imaging with opportunities for research and clinical growth.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in medical physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program with completion of a two-year residency in medical physics.
  • 3 years of experience as a clinical therapy physicist with 3DCRT/IMRT/VMAT, SRS/SBRT/IGRT, QA commissioning, and calibration.
  • Certification in Therapeutic Radiology Physics or Radiation Physics by ABR or ABMP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proton therapy program within OSF Healthcare Cancer Institute.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality radiation therapy.
  • Drive quality assurance and commissioning for therapy equipment.

    • OSF Healthcare Cancer Instituteis looking for an experienced radiation physicist to help lead their nationally recognized proton therapy team in Peoria, Illinois

Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in medical physics from a Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Program (CAMPEP) accredited program with completion of a two-year residency in medical physics.
    • 3 years of experience as a clinical therapy physicist including experience with 3DCRT/IMRT/VMAT, SRS/SBRT/IGRT, routine machine Quality Assurance commissioning, and calibration of radiation therapy equipment.
    • Certification in Therapeutic Radiology Physics or Radiation Physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics.

Starting pay range is expected to start between $220,000 - $255,000. Actualy salary can fall outside of that range based on experience, skill and internal equity.
