Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to serve as the engineering Customer Liaison for a business‑jet HTF7000 propulsion program. You’ll be the primary contact for OEMs and Customer Excellence groups, delivering fast technical support and coordinating design changes while driving program reviews and risk mitigation.

You will lead cross‑functional teams across design, analysis, test and production, ensuring alignment with program objectives, budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design, development and/or test of gas turbine engines, nacelle systems, engine control systems or other complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methods (e.g. Microsoft Project, Agile Scrum/Kanban, Earned Value Management System).

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical communications and coordination meetings with OEM customers.
  • Deliver clear technical recommendations to executive leadership and customers and support formal program reviews.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute development and sustainment projects to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership of cross‑functional engineering teams through design, analysis, test, certification, and production.
  • Collaborate with aircraft OEMs to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and maintain alignment with program objectives.
  • Drive root‑cause investigations and implement timely corrective actions for production and field issues.
  • Identify program risks and opportunities and lead mitigation strategies to improve technical, schedule, or cost outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
