L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Project Engineering in Greenville, TX. The role reports to Engineering leadership and collaborates with Systems, Software, Aeronautical, and Logistics engineering teams to execute assigned programs.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance and 9+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years with a graduate degree). Expect up to 25% travel and a 9/80 schedule, with Fridays off every other cycle.

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• Experience in one of the following disciplines: Software/Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering (including Test Engineering), Project Engineering.

Job Description:

The Project Engineer (PE) holds technical responsibility and authority for the program under the technical authority from Engineering Leadership to execute assigned programs, as well as direct integration with the Program Manager (PM).To this end, the individual Engineering Functional Task Leaders (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Logistic Engineering, Technical Publications, etc.) report to and take direction from the PE for the assigned program operations.

Essential Functions:

• Lead technical planning, execution, and coordination for assigned program activities

• Coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and operational stakeholders
• Serve as a primary technical interface to internal leadership and external customers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
• Experience in one of the following disciplines: Software/Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering (including Test Engineering), Project Engineerin
• An active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience performing in a Project Engineering or similar role.
• Leadership Skills (i.e., Task Leader, IPT Leader and/or Functional Management)
• Overall development and maintenance of a project baseline
• VIP/SAM Aircraft experience
• Control Account Management CAM or IPT Lead experience
• Software development experience
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Experience utilizing Atlassian tools – Jira and Confluence
• Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery experience
