Job summary

HMC Architects in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Project Designer to lead design efforts for small and medium projects, coordinating presentation materials and ensuring design intent through construction documents.

The role requires an architectural degree, at least five years of production and coordination experience, and advanced Revit skills (Rhino/Enscape). This hybrid position offers collaborative work across teams and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Architectural degree from an accredited university or equivalent proficiency.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production and coordination of documents across all phases of architectural practice.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, including 3D modeling in Rhino and Enscape, and material research.
• Knowledge of deliverables for all project phases and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with team members and consultants to resolve conflicts.
• Prepare complex plans, elevations, and details under supervisor guidance.
• Organize and produce working drawings and deliverables for SD, DD, and CD phases.
• Coordinate with government agencies and utility companies to obtain plan check approvals.
• Assist in preparing proposals and additional service agreements.
• Estimate hours for assigned tasks and manage budgets.
