Job summary

Modern Maintenance Building Services, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Project Cleaner to perform cleaning and maintenance duties in Milwaukee area office buildings. Shift is Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–1:00 AM.

The role combines project floor care tasks with general cleaning responsibilities in commercial spaces. Ideal candidates have prior floor care experience and can handle deep cleaning projects such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and restoration.

Qualifications

• Experience performing deep cleaning and restoration tasks on floors (stripping, waxing, buffing, refinishing).
• Ability to operate industrial buffers and scrubbers for large-scale projects.
• Willingness to travel between buildings and handle after-hours work when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform project floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet extraction, and other duties as requested by customers.
• Operate industrial buffers and scrubbers to maintain and restore floors.
• Carry out local deliveries of supplies, post-construction clean-up, floor care, and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Inspect new equipment, materials, and processes and learn new techniques with a manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients and maintain safety protocols.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be prepared to travel for business; report on time and work overtime when required.
• Pass background check and drug screen as required by customers.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a Full-Time Project Cleaner to perform cleaning and maintenance duties in office buildings located in the Milwaukee area, working hours are from Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Candidates with prior experience in floor care and cleaning are preferred.

This is a dual position and includes both Project Work and General Cleaner job duties. Project Workers a specialized cleaning professional who is responsible for performing deep cleaning and restoration tasks on floors, often focusing on large-scale projects like stripping, waxing, buffing, or refinishing floors in commercial spaces, rather than routine daily maintenance cleaning;essentially, they are called in to handle major floor care projects when needed, as opposed to regular floor cleaning staff. General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their designated buildings/areas by performing various cleaning duties. This job includes moving large furniture and objects in such a manner that safety guidelines are followed to prevent injury to themselves and others.

This position could require on-call availability via company cell phones which will be specified by the District Manager, General Manager, or Vice President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT FLOORCARE

• Perform project tasks including stripping floors, waxing, buffing, carpet extraction, and other periodic or project work as is desired by customers.
• Must be able to work with industrial buffers and scrubbers.
• Perform project work consisting of local deliveries of supplies, post construction clean-ups, floor care, flood clean up, carpet care, power washing and various tasks resolving customer complaints at our customers’ buildings.
• Inspect and set up new equipment, material, and processes.
• Collaborate with a manager to learn new types of equipment, materials, and processes.
• Provide an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Reports on time and work overtime as required and if required to travel for business, maintains a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Must be able to pass background check required by customers to enter and work in their facilities.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
