Job summary

Hooker DeJong, Inc. (HDJ) invites a Lead Project Architect to join a growing architectural and engineering team in Grand Rapids, MI, or Muskegon, MI.

You will provide design leadership, technical confidence, and calm, client-focused project management to fast-moving multidisciplinary projects. As a trusted project leader, you will guide teams through schematic design to construction administration, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and coordinate with engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect in the United States.
• 5+ years of experience across all design phases.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and documentation.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships and project leadership.
• Coordinate project teams and deliver construction documents.
• Quality assurance across disciplines.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and team assignments.
• Support bidding and construction administration.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project agreements with HDJ leadership.
