Job summary

Leidos seeks a Master Production Scheduler in Huntsville, AL to lead the electronics manufacturing scheduling group. You will develop detailed weekly and monthly schedules for SMT, PCB, cable assembly, coating, testing, and box-build, coordinating with program management, supply chain, and production to meet delivery milestones.

The role requires 8–12 years in production planning, strong MRP/MPS and capacity planning knowledge, ERP/MES experience, and proficiency with Excel/Power BI. U.S.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/MPS, capacity planning, and resource leveling.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or similar data tools.
• Must be a US citizen with eligibility for Final Secret or Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain weekly and monthly master production schedules across SMT, PCB and Cable Assembly, coating, test, and box-build operations.
• Analyze forecasts and customer demand to ensure adequate capacity.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, and Production to align schedules with customer priorities and delivery milestones.
• Conduct rough-cut capacity analysis and identify bottlenecks with mitigation plans.
• Calculate task times to align production with demand and capacity.
• Track production progress in real-time and adjust schedules for delays or equipment issues.
• Monitor performance metrics: on-time starts/completions, throughput, utilization, and WIP aging.
• Generate regular reports on schedule conformance, capacity and demand.
• Lead weekly cross-functional schedule review meetings and communicate changes and risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy and lead times.
• Provide data-driven insights into forecast impacts and backlog health.
• Perform change control and schedule risk analyses.
• Serve as escalation point for schedule conflicts.
• Champion scheduling best practices and standard work.
