Job description

Well established, marquee technology manufacturer north of Boston is seeking a Lead Production Planner to join their operations team.

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY AND MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE US LONG-TERM.

Job Functions:

1. Develop schedules and forecasts based on demand, historical data, and inventory to ensure accurate and sufficient materials can meet requirements utilizing ERP/MRP systems.
2. Work closely with internal groups such as engineering, procurement, and production to handle any changes in product, supply availability, and production cycles.
3. Monitor inventory levels and material disposition and provide direct countermeasures for any shortages or over-production.
4. Pivot and adapt to changes in the marketplace, transportation, and shipping issues that may affect production schedules.
5. Collaborate with NPI teams to streamline and efficiently execute implementation plans.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of materials/inventory planning, preferably within tech manufacturing.
2. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business/supply chain operations.
3. Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and levels of management.
4. Experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems in conjunction with MRP reports.
5. Ability to analyze large data sets and historical information for forecasting purposes.
6. Understanding of Lean and other process methodologies.
7. Previous involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
