Job summary

Gold Star oversees feed manufacturing activities from the control room to ensure safe, accurate, and timely production. This Production Operator Lead coordinates with control room, production floor, and maintenance to maintain flow and quality across processes.

The role provides day-to-day direction, training support, and reinforces procedures while escalating safety or equipment concerns as needed. Strong leadership in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in feed milling, agriculture, food production or manufacturing.
• Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment (certification a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Willingness to work shift work, weekends, or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily feed production to meet schedules.
• Operate and monitor batching, mixing, grinding, pelleting, and handling systems.
• Verify formulas and ingredient usage.
• Monitor equipment status, alarms, and production rates.
• Provide leadership to control room and production staff.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance.
