Job summary

You will lead safety and quality initiatives, manage budgets, coordinate with sales, maintenance, sanitation, QA, and plant office, and mentor supervisors to reach production goals while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Bachelor’s degree required; candidates with experience as superintendent or mid-level manager in food

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy and precision.
• Thorough knowledge of plant operations and procedures.
• Experience as superintendent or other mid-level management position in a food manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of Total Process Control (TPC) or lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of industry trends in equipment, ingredients, and customer needs.
• Support and participate in the plant safety process.
• Apply analysis of plant processing to develop and maintain department structure to satisfy production needs.
• Advance recommendations on policies, procedures, facilities, production planning and related matters.
• Prepare production portion of operating budgets; implement and control approved budgets.
• Communicate with plant leadership to ensure policy implementation.
• Coordinate responsibilities with plant supervisory staff including maintenance, sanitation, QA, and plant office.
• Stay abreast of sales and marketing activities affecting production distribution.
• Develop and implement methods for enabling employees to achieve production goals.
• Follow programs to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
