Job summary

Under Armour in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Lead, Product Supply Operations Footwear to drive costing initiatives across development and sourcing, coordinating with HQ and Asia teams to target FOB and maintain policy compliance.

You will lead pre-costing, work cross-functionally through product creation, and create margin analyses to inform leadership while navigating global trade and complex supply chains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-10 years of related industry experience in supply chain, sourcing, merchandising, accessories/apparel/footwear manufacturing
  • Understanding of product creation (materials/color, design, development, sourcing, costing) processes and how they impact the supply chain
  • Strong understanding of global trade agreements and the US tariff system
  • Negotiation and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in web-based PLM and data visualization systems such as Tableau, Centric, and Trasix are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads pre-costing from production brief to commercialization to ensure all costing requirements are met
  • Work collaboratively cross functionally with Development, Marketing, Engineering, UA Sourcing/costing, and Factory counterparts through the product creation and development process to maximize costing opportunities
  • Lead and coordinate costing reviews at critical milestones to ensure alignment between development, product line manager for target FOB achievement
  • Increase awareness and understanding for cost process within organization through effective communication and training if necessary.
  • Ensure costing standards, policies and practices are shared, followed accurately from start to finish while following established timelines and calendars
  • Embrace and support manufacturing excellence concepts and successes across the Asia Footwear manufacturing platform
  • Lead and cooperate with product line manager to set product cost targets
  • Create margin reports at each milestone and analyze gaps. Ensure follow up with leaders, development and product line managers for any variance vs target margin/FOBs
  • Compile detailed product cost estimates including identification of cost drivers. Continuous education to maintain understanding of various manufacturing processes
  • Facilitate and monitor Cost action plans and verify achievement of cost targets
  • Lead and support final product cost
  • Assist in the maintenance of a Centric BOM and CBD platform
  • Assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of a global cost engineering process

Purpose of Role

The Lead, Product Supply Operations Footwear is responsible for maintaining current costing initiatives and supporting HQ and Asia costing leads to drive new and effective strategies to ensure UA is highly competitive in the marketplace. This role will drive communication with Asia costing counterparts to effectively provide costing information with calendar timeline and partner with HQ development, engineering, and materials team for costing suggestions. This role cooperates with product line managers to set up target FOB and ensure teams follow the costing policy from product brief to final confirmation.

Your Impact

Workplace Location
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office or global headquarters.
  • Return To Work Designation: 4 days a week in-office, the remainder of the work week remote.
  • Travel: 5-10% of the year.

Base Compensation

$100,000.00-$135,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
