Job summary

Logos Space is seeking a Supply Chain Security Lead to own security across hardware and manufacturing. You will define and enforce security guardrails for procurement and fabrication, and build a team to implement robust supply chain protections.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in security engineering, deep knowledge of hardware security, and experience with provisioning pipelines, HSMs, and PKI. DoD-aligned security priorities and space systems experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure provisioning workflows, including key injection and validation for COTS components.
• Develop policies and assurance for Logos supply chain security to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Build the security team by recruiting and mentoring team members.
• Manage chain of custody and logistics security with an audit trail.
• Implement anti-counterfeit and tampering detection measures (DoD priority).
• Ensure alignment with NIST SP 800-161 (Supply Chain Risk Mgmt.).
• Oversee test equipment security and firmware authenticity validation on vendor side.
• Contribute to organizational growth through technical guidance and mentorship.

About Logos Space Engineering

The Product and Data Link Security team at Logos Space engineering is responsible for ensuring the success of our network by providing unique levels of security and authentication in space communications. This position is a critical driver of the architecture, overseeing development efforts specific to the security architecture, as well as working with other teams like ground segment and spacecraft systems.

We are seeking engineers who can thrive in a fast-moving environment, comfortable taking vague design ideas and turning them into concrete, testable architecture and secure solutions.

The Role

The Supply Chain Security Lead will own the supply chain security strategy across all hardware and manufacturing processes. You will ensure that no component or manufacturing step can compromise system trust. This role is vital for defining and enforcing the security guardrails for what Logos procures and manufactures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the comprehensive supply chain security strategy, architecture, and roadmap for all hardware and manufacturing processes
• Define vendor qualification criteria and risk scoring for third-party suppliers and COTS components
• Lead the design and implementation of secure provisioning workflows, including key injection, and validation mechanisms for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components
• Develop policies, practices, and assurance for the security of the Logos supply chain to ensure no vulnerabilities are introduced.
• Build the supply chain security team by recruiting talent and providing technical guidance and mentorship to security team members, contributing to the overall growth of the security organization.
• Manage the chain of custody and logistics security with an audit trail
• Implement anti-counterfeit and tampering detection measures (a DoD priority)
• Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-161 (Supply Chain Risk Mgmt.)
• Oversee the security of test equipment and perform firmware authenticity validation on the vendor side
• Contribute to the overall growth of the security organization through technical guidance and mentorship.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security engineering, with demonstrable experience in designing and implementing supply chain and hardware security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-moving environment.
