Job summary

Rippling is seeking a hands-on staff security engineer to help shape Rippling's Product Security program and be an early member of the security team. You will influence priorities, collaborate with engineering, and drive secure practices across the development lifecycle.

You will work on securing web applications, code reviews, and integrating security into the SDLC while mentoring engineers and building scalable security solutions for a growing platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a product security role.
• Experience leading architectural changes or cross-team efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Deep understanding of securing web applications.
• Fluency in Python, React, and Django Rest Framework.
• Experience with manual source code review and embedding security into production.

Responsibilities

• Build guardrails to eliminate classes of vulnerabilities in Rippling apps.
• Develop security tooling and automations to scale the Product Security team.
• Threat-model designs and provide security assessments.
• Audit source code and perform reviews for critical changes.
• Mentor software engineers on security best practices.
• Provide hands-on remediation guidance to development teams.
• Review and establish secure SDLC practices.
• Develop/integrate security into the Software Development Life Cycle.
