Google DeepMind seeks a Group Product Manager for Frontier Model Protection. You will own the product strategy for safeguarding against model extraction and distillation, guiding cross-functional teams from ideation to deployment.

The role involves balancing security with developer productivity and commercial momentum, while collaborating with researchers and engineers to translate breakthroughs into scalable defenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (0 to 1).
• Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD in CS/ML/Cybersecurity/Business preferred.
• Direct domain experience in AI security and model defense preferred.

Responsabilités

• Define the multi-year product goal and strategic roadmap for frontier model protection and anti-distillation defenses across Google DeepMind.
• Establish policies and guardrails balancing IP defense with developer friction and commercial aims.
• Develop quantitative evaluation frameworks and telemetry to measure defense efficacy.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to translate breakthroughs into scalable defenses.
• Secure executive alignment and engage with external labs and safety institutes on benchmarks.
