Job description

Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Knowledge & Intelligence layer — the governed knowledge spine that grounds AI agents on verified, provenance-backed facts. This is a platform role at the center of the agentic-commerce bet: every agent that depends on the layer gets more trustworthy because of what you ship. You'll work across functional areas to turn a fast-moving set of demands from across the agent teams into a coherent capability roadmap, decide what the layer should newly be able to do and in what order, and defend the architecture that makes all of it compound. You analyze where the leverage is, sequence for maximum impact, and keep the platform ahead of the agents that depend on it.

What You'll Own
  • The capability roadmap. Sequence what the layer can newly do — foundation → hardened → cross-domain → platform — driven by real dependencies, not calendar dates. You decide what unlocks the most downstream value next.
  • Intake and prioritization. Run the front door across the agent teams, discovery, remediation, and content. Translate a stream of asks into reusable capability requirements — not bespoke, throwaway builds.
  • Stakeholder orchestration. Partner with the Ontology Council on what's true and well-governed, and with the domain teams that publish the data the layer depends on.
  • The platform discipline. Hold the line on “build the backbone, not use-case solutions.” When a team pushes for a one‑off, you find the general capability underneath it — or say no, clearly and with a reason.
  • Roadmap–delivery–architecture alignment. Work shoulder to shoulder with the Overall Lead and the Architects so strategy, execution, and design never drift apart.
Why This Role?
  • You're building the layer that becomes the durable advantage in agentic commerce — the grounding spine every agent reaches for. Get it right and the whole portfolio gets smarter; the work compounds instead of resetting with each use case.
  • High‑leverage and high‑visibility: a small set of decisions you make shapes what dozens of engineers and multiple agent programs can do.
  • A rare platform‑PM mandate with real authority to protect the architecture, not just service a backlog.
  • A technical background is a prerequisite. You come from an engineering, architecture, or data background and carry at least a working understanding of the technologies and frameworks this platform is built on — data platforms, pipelines, APIs, knowledge graphs. You hold your own in architecture and data discussions, earn engineers' trust, and can weigh technical trade‑offs rather than defer every call.
  • Proven product leadership on a platform, API, or data/ML product — you've owned a roadmap serving multiple internal consumers and been accountable for its coherence.
  • A track record of saying no to one‑offs to protect a platform's integrity, and bringing stakeholders along when you do.
  • Strong prioritization instinct under competing demands; comfortable sequencing by dependency and impact rather than by whoever asked loudest.
