Job summary

Mission Staffing seeks a Principal to lead portfolio construction, quantitative modeling, asset allocation, and portfolio analytics across private credit strategies. The role requires driving modeling initiatives, risk analysis, and investment decision support for senior professionals.

Candidate should have 6–9 years in private credit, strong Python programming skills, and excellent communication to present insights to committees and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience across private credit, including direct lending, senior debt, junior debt, asset-based finance, or related investment strategies.
• Demonstrated experience owning portfolio construction, quantitative investment analysis, or related analytical workstreams.
• Strong quantitative modeling and data analysis capabilities, including advanced programming skills with Python preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate fundamentals, financial markets, and private asset investing.
• Experience across a broad range of investment strategies and asset classes is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex investment analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an intellectually curious, independent, and highly analytical mindset.
• Ability to mentor junior professionals and manage multiple analytical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio construction recommendations across private credit strategies, including senior debt, junior debt, and asset-based finance.
• Own fund modeling and analyze historical and projected performance, portfolio risk, and economic sensitivities.
• Develop and enhance quantitative asset allocation models across private credit and multi-asset portfolios.
• Monitor portfolio exposures and identify emerging risks and opportunities across private credit markets.
• Build scenario analyses and customized investment models to support portfolio and asset allocation decisions.
• Present portfolio recommendations, risk analysis, and investment insights to senior investment professionals and investment committees.
• Partner with investment teams and other stakeholders to enhance portfolio analytics, modeling capabilities, and investment decision-making.
