Job summary

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seeks a Supervisory Attorney Advisor for Privacy and Information Law within the Office of the General Counsel (LCD). You will provide leadership on all aspects of information law, including litigation before U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal.

This is a non-bargaining unit position and will focus on FOIA, Privacy Act, and related information-law matters across DHS and its components, coordinating with other agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional legal experience in excess of three (3) years
• Experience in FOIA, Privacy Act, and E-Government Act
• Litigation experience before U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal
• LCD focuses on information law across DHS and other agencies

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on all aspects of information law.
• Lead litigation in federal courts related to information law (FOIA, Privacy Act, E-Government Act).
• Coordinate information-law matters across DHS components and with other agencies.
