Job summary

Orion is seeking a Privacy & AI Governance Counsel to lead privacy, AI governance, and responsible technology across the enterprise. The role partners with Risk, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Product, and Technology to embed privacy by design and govern AI initiatives.

This hybrid position requires on-site work several days a week at one of Orion's offices in Utah, with flexibility to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications

• Has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and bar admission.
• Experience translating complex regulations into business guidance.
• Proven ability to manage privacy, data protection and AI governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary enterprise advisor for privacy and AI governance across the organization.
• Develop and maintain privacy and AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
• Translate legal requirements into practical guidance for business teams.
• Monitor and communicate impacts of evolving privacy and AI regulations.
• Lead privacy compliance activities including PIA, DPIA, data mapping, and regulatory reporting.
• Review and negotiate privacy provisions in contracts and vendor agreements.
• Deliver training on privacy, AI governance, and data protection.
