Job summary

Doxim seeks an experienced Print Team Lead to supervise operators, set up presses, and ensure high-quality printed materials. You will troubleshoot equipment, manage maintenance, and coordinate production schedules with designers and prepress teams.

A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and meeting tight deadlines is essential. The role offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities across North America and potential remote components as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and reorder as needed.
• Harmonize file prep with designers and prepress teams for production.
• Coordinate print schedules and prioritize jobs by deadlines and resources.
• Diagnose issues like jams and calibration problems and resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of print operators, assigning tasks,monitoringworkloads, and providing guidance andtrainingas necessary.
• Set up andoperatevarious printing presses and equipment, such as digital printers, offset presses, or screen printers, to produce printed materials.
• Monitor the production process to ensure that print quality, color accuracy, and other specifications meet company standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensureoptimalprinting performance.
• Maintain an organized inventory of printing supplies, materials, and inks, and reorder as needed.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure that final products meet client specifications andinternal quality standards.
• Collaborate with designers, prepress technicians, and other departments to ensureaccuratefile preparation and seamless project execution.
• Coordinate print schedules and prioritize jobs based on deadlines, complexity, and resource availability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to printing equipment, such as paper jams, registration problems, and color calibration.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and calibration, to keep equipment inoptimalworkingcondition
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating printing equipment and handling chemicals, inks, and other materials.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste disposal procedures for printing-relatedmaterials.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proficiencyin troubleshooting printing equipment issues and performing basic maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of color theory, print layout, and design principles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with printing software and prepress processes is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent;additionaltechnical or vocational training in printing technology is preferred.
• Complete Machine training - Level 3

Nice to have:

• Bilingual (Spanish & English)
• Print industry certifications (e.g., G7, Lean fundamentals, safety training)

System Knowledge

Proven experience as a print operator, with a strong understanding of different printing techniques and equipment.

Recommended Years of Experience

• 4+ years in print production, mail operations, customer communications, or related domain
• Prior informal leadership, shift lead, or team lead experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs. as required for production tasks
• Regular movement within the production facility and occasional equipment interaction
