Garfield Montessori School is an authentic Montessori non‑profit dedicated to nurturing children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. We have two Primary classrooms, one with 4 teachers and 22 students and the other with 3 teachers and 20 students. Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Primary Montessori Teacher to join our team at Garfield! The ideal candidate is kind, organized, professional, and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of ownership over their classroom and a willingness to serve as a leader among their peers.

We are looking for someone who delivers lessons thoughtfully and authentically within the Montessori philosophy while demonstrating a love of learning and a commitment to professional growth. This individual should bring creativity, enthusiasm, and initiative to their work and be confident in independently leading and managing their classroom community. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable communicating with families about student progress, supporting individual learning goals, and maintaining accurate records of student development and academic growth. They should be committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports each child's independence.

Qualifications

• *At least 1 year of Lead Teacher experience
• *At least 1 year teaching full time in a Primary Montessori classroom
• Must have Montessori primary teacher certification from an AMS, AMI, or MACTE‑accredited Montessori program.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration Training (Can be arranged if not already certified)

Start Date

As soon as possible and before August 2026
