Job summary

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is seeking a dependable candidate to join our team as a painter for the preservation of ships, buildings, and piers. A valid South Carolina driver’s license and prior trade experience are required.

The role involves surface preparation, use of paint tools, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Willingness to work irregular hours and assist with maintenance tasks is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license.
• Previous trade experience as a painter.
• Ability to work at heights and climb ladders.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activity and lift weight.

Responsibilities

• Paint and preserve ships, buildings and piers under PPDA ownership.
• Prepare surfaces and use tools like scrapers, brushes, rollers, spray equipment.
• Apply primer and finish coats with proper safety and environmental practices.
• Work after hours, weekends, or holidays as required by the Agency.
