Job summary

Cedar Gables Preschool is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher for the Barnum Road location in Danbury, CT. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday with daytime hours and hourly pay in the range of $18–$21. You will lead a classroom, partner with a teaching team, and support children’s growth through guided play and learning.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of preschool or early childhood classroom experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience leading a preschool classroom and working with assistant teachers.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, engaging and well-organized preschool classroom.
• Actively engage with children through play, conversation, exploration and learning.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Lead classroom routines, transitions and activities.
• Guide and support the assistant teacher and collaborate with school leadership.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and inviting environment.
