The Goddard School of South Windsor, CT is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum and lead daily activities in a developmentally appropriate program. Join a supportive team dedicated to nurturing young minds.

In this role, you will foster a safe, inclusive classroom, communicate with families, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and student outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare/preschool preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, and faculty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children.

Aufgaben

• Lead daily activities using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open, positive communication with families about child progress and activities.
• Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Observe and document children’s learning to inform activities and share insights with families.
• Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers as a team.
• Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth.
