Job summary

The Gardner School is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our state-of-the-art preschool program for ages 6 weeks to 5 years. You will contribute to a caring, dynamic team and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates have an associates degree or CDA, 2+ years with children, and a passion for early childhood education. We offer comprehensive benefits, training, and opportunities for promotion within our privately owned company.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or CDA required; higher degrees preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with children.
• Love for working with children with nurturing personality.
• Excellent communication with parents, staff, and children.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Pediatric first aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during drop off and pick up times daily.
• Ensure the safety of each child.
• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum and software.
• Read, understand and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all State Licensing Agencies.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with the parents and coworkers.
• Advise the Director or Assistant Director of any supplies needed for the upcoming months.
• Follow the standards set forth for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who come in contact with children.
