The Goddard School of Indianapolis (North) is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our supportive team. Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum using our Wonder of Learning program, lead daily activities, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred for early childhood education.
• CDA certification is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with young children in licensed settings.
• Completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to build relationships with children, families and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open and positive family communication about progress and activities.
• Supervise health and safety during indoor/outdoor activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Observe and document children’s learning to inform activities for families.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers as part of a team.
• Model positive behavior guidance to support social-emotional growth.
